Reference FIT

REQUIREMENTS

For the production of its detergent, cleaners and cleaning agents, the company Fit puts special emphasis on sustainability, efficiency and resource-saving performance. These were important criteria that were set for the RENNER project team and thus for the new concept. Further requirements were a compressed air need of 30m³/min, 10 bar as "factory air" and 40 bar for the blow molding machine. An additional goal was to integrate a heat recovery system for 80°C process water heating and the building heating.

PLANT DESCRIPTION

In 2016, the compressed air systems had to be adapted for the first time to the constantly growing production. The concept called for an RSF 127 DW screw compressor with speed control and 1:1 direct drive. In the following year, the company invested in an RS 2-75 DW from the same series. Both compressors were equipped with water cooling and a heat exchanger for the heated water. To blow the pre-forms for the bottles into shape with the stretch blow molder, two RS-MF 45 W booster screw compressors, with 45 kW drive power each, were installed, also with water cooling and heat recovery.

SAVINGS

By means of the heat recovery system used, approx. 25% of the total heat requirement can be covered, which was also funded BAFA (only Germany). In addition, about 15% of the energy costs can be saved by avoiding idle operation and pressure reduction. Furthermore, the boosters used enable a reliable compressed air supply without constant interruptions caused by intermediate maintenance.
